Now you can define custom surfaces in DAZStudio with the click of a button. Included in the DAZStudio Shader Presets freebie are the 12 default (surface) shader presets, with new surface properties, that allow you to differentiate between skin, plastic, metal and more . These presets are DAZStudio specific and may not transfer the material setting when exporting out of the program.

About the Freepository

As you can see this is a work in progress. Mainly, I started something like this for my own personal use, since I had a tendency to want to download anything and everything, whether I had use for it or not. Obviously, space and time issues were a problem. So for practicalities' sake, I thought about putting the stuff I want in a list, maybe even make a web page so I could search it when it got excessively large. Then I thought about the fact that what I "want" is often subject to what I need for a given project.

Long story short, I though about my old Blogger account, and decided that I should be able to finagle a way to make all these freebies searchable. Utilizing the tags feature built into Blogger, a person can search for freebies by specific parameters, like meshes, models, genre, studio, etc.

Nothing is uploaded here. No images are remote linked here. This site is exclusivly an index. Everything is just link back to the creators/owners web site, and specifically the page the freebie is on. (Linking to a main page is something I'll be specifically avoiding. More on that another day, but it is one of the fundamental principles behind the creation of this site) I'll be adding freebies from a given site one at a time.
